Otto Klein, of Portland, only wants $20,000 damages for loss of a leg, while travelling on the South ern Pacific between Portland and San Francisco. The Port Arthur Russian Bquad ron is said to have made its way out of the harbor, and it is thought to have started to join the Vladi vostok fleet. Ex-Mayor Donnelly, of Cripple Creek, Col, will move away, as he has received repeated warnings from the foes of the miners, whoes canse he bad espoused. Five persons were injured by dy namite exploding in a house at Butte, during the night, Tuesday. It is thought that the perpetrator were af er alleged refugees from Cripple Creek, Col. Nebraska populists and derm crats have fused on tin state ticket, but will have separate electoral tickets, The fusionists gave Ne braska the best state government it ever had, and the ticket should win out but it will doubtless be de feated. Hon. Champ Clark, of Missouri, and a member of the House of Representatives, was chairman of a delegation . which notified Parker that the Democrats had named him for presidential candidate. The notification took place yesterday. Senator Geo Vest, of Missouri, and who was in the I). S. Senate for many years; a master of perfect English; one of the ablfRt author ities on the tariff question, and the man who openly told the senate that the recent tariff bill remained a "smuggler" that p'eced an ad ditional tariff on anthracite coal, died the first of the week.
