Once and for all there will be no compromise with the democrats who supported Mr, Bryan from sincere convictions the two times he was given nomination If the Cleveland-Watterson crowd swallow the democratic national convention it is quite likely they will never digest it. Thousands upon thousands of these voters will never vote for a Wall street demo crat for the presidency. And, as a "rnatter of fact, if it actually came to a showdown between a republi can and a Clevelandite or a sym pathuer with Cleveland's national ideas, they would vote to beat the latter. These self-styled d mocrats are out of place with modern dem ocracy".' They should go into the other party and help nominate men nearer their ideas of national economics. "Ileinie" should retire Into his sanctum and cover himself with the mantle of grief, for no one cares to hear his lamentations not ven the democracy of ''the Dark and Bloody Ground." 1 he fifty years of wedded life enjoyed by Mrs. and Mrs. Isaac Leisy, two of our early pioneers, is worthy of the biggest respect as a matter of sociology. They have raised a large family, each of whom is a credit to the parentage. These old people are now on the easy de cline of life and they still rest in the shelter of the house wherein they raised their family; where - ,Uey watched over the breathing of "their little ones in the still hours of Um Aight, when they thought death was near. Hand in hand they have walked down the vale together, and band in band they now see i, the sunset of life (and to them it f must be roseate) before them.
