Edmund King and Mr. and Mrs. Pierre Rossiter Hines. Mrs. Anderson M. Cannon and Mrs. Merrill B. Moores entertained with an attractive tea Wednesday afternoon for their aunt. Mrs. F. N. Gilbert, who leaves soon for a trip around the world. Mrs. Clarr-noe i Cooke and Mrs. Theodore Cooke n't land. Her guests were: Mr. and i-ionoiuiu were also guests of honor. Assisting in the liv- Smith, Harry Cloutier, Arran Whit-,ing room were the Mesdames Ed a. graduate of Stanford university, where she was a member of the Pi Beta Phi sorority . Mr. Sammons is the son of Mrs. May J. Sammons. He is a prominent young business man, being assistant cashier of the United States National bank. Dur ing the war he served with great distinction overseas with the 35th division. The wedding will be an interesting event of early spring. Mrs. C. D. Brijnn has asked guests to an informal bridge party Tuesday afternoon. Harry Cloutier wag host at an at tractive dinner last Saturday eve ning preceding the Tillicum dance. His guests included Mrs. Margaret Ayer Hayden, Miss Adelaide Terry. Mrs. Paul Terry. Mr. and Mrs. Earle Latourette, Mr. and Mrs.. Kenneth Hituser, Frederick L,. Smith and Ar ran Whitmer. f Friday evening Mrs. Margaret Ayer Hayden gave a buffet supper at her home, and later the guests enjoyed dancing at the Hotel Port mer and Iceland steiwer. j m Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Allen are now residing at their new home at 900 Tichner avenue, on Arlington Heights. ' Mrs. Pat Allen will entertain the women members of the Portland Golf club next Friday at a luncheon at the clubhouse. Plans for the next tournament will be discussed. Mr.- and Mrs. Allen have recently returned from an extended visit in New Orleans, Kansas. City and sev eral other places in the south. Mr. and Mrs. Coe A. McKenna were hosts for a charming dinner given Monday night at Hotel Port- land. Autumn blossoms formed an attractive centdTpiece. Covers were placed for ten. A smart event among the sub debutante set was the dinner and supper dance given Friday evening at Hotel Portland by Mrs. Edward Holman, to honor the 15th birthday anniversary of Robert - Holman. mur.d Mautz. They were Mrs. Henry Clay, Miss Elizabeth Hailey, Mrs. Harold Bean, Mrs. Chester Moores. Mrs. George Allen Lawrence and Miss Grace Hovenden. Mrs. J. R. Myers of Berkeley ar rived in the city last Monday and will make her home with her sister, Mrs. T. T. Strain, of 1095 Franklin street. Mrs. Myers before her mar riage was Clara Dekum and 4as spent most of her married life in the Hawaiian islands, but four years ago she and her husband left there to make their home in Berkeley, where her husband's death occurred last July. All Chi ' Omegas in Portland are invited to attend the regular alumni meeting next Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home of Mrs. John Justice, 709 ' East Sixteenth street south.
