Y, Dec. 10 (By the Associated Press.) Accusa tions that two Canadians had been bribed to testify against Mrs. Anne U. Stlllman and that agents for James A. Stlllman attempted to cor rupt 11 others Into giving false tes timony opened a fresh counter-attack today on the banker in his divorce suit . ThS charges were made in open court before Supreme Court Justice Morschauser by J. F. Brcnnan. chief of Mrs. Stlllman's counsel, and John K. Mack, guardian ad" litem for her three-year-oid son, Guy, whose legiti macy the banker impugned. Mr. Biennan presented an affidavit signed by himself outlining the alle gations and explaining that they would be borne out by the testimony of witnesses to be called at Montreal beginniiiK January 11. The testimony in connection with which the charges were made was that Mrs. Stlllman violated her mar riage vow In her conduct with Fred Beauvais. Mr. Brennan's affidavit named sev eral witnesses who, he said, would be called to testify that agents of Mr. Stlllman attempted to bribe them in 1 :i20, about the time the banker in stituted the divorce suit. The affidavit named Joseph and Ferdinand Page, both of latuque. Que., as the two who were bribed be fore testifying against Mrs. Stlllman. .Mr. Biennan told the banker's law yer, Ouu-rbridge Horsey, that agents for Mr. Stlllman who sought to cor rupt witnesses were J. Albert La Fon taine and Francois La Joie, and added that there were others who were guilty. Eleven witnesses named in the affi davit would, Mr. Brennan stated, swear that agents for Mr. Stillman sought to bribe them "with consid erable sums of money if they would falsely swear they witnessed miscon duct by Beauvais and -Mi-. Stillman." liu-ondm-t In Chanced. The affidavit renewed charges that Mr. Stiliman was guilty of miscon duct with three women, Florence H. Leeds, and two Identified only as "Helen" and "Clara." After short debate between counsel Justice Xforschauser granted the ap plication to shift the trial to Montreal at an open commission to begin ses sions January 11, the commissioner to be appointed shortly. This will be the first time since the beginning of the trials that hearings have been pubiic. Bootlegger Works Near City Hall.
