"The Convict's Parole" deals) with the policy adopted by Governor West to ward convicts in the state penitentiary. Mr. Winstock has made an ex-safe cracker the hero. This man has Inter std the Governor, who gives him his freedom on parole. Clayton, tho parole n an. has contrived to gain the hatred of t he ex -warden of the penitentiary, who plans either to draw him Into a Ma criminal deal or surround him with the evidences of guilt.
