Although few special floral decorations were employed in the cathedral, an abundance of thoroughly dried cedar boughs were suspended from the cell ing of the sanctuary and around the altar, having been left over from the " Christmas decorations. Supposedly safe tapers and candles lighted the setting. Dean Graham had taken his place and was reading the ceremony, when the snapping of burning boughs and a scream from the bride, who was the first to see the blase, threw the en tire party Into confusion. Catching up her gown, the bride led the party to the street. Party Saeapera Safety So suddenly did the flames spring up and so rapidly did they envelop the sanctuary and chapel that only per sonal safety was thought of among the bridal party In the wild scamper for the doors. The fire department quickly extin guished the flames before serious dam age was done. Perfectly willing to transfer the scene of the wedding from the smoky cathedral to the home of the minister, the party quickly recovered all that was to be rescued of the frapa and joined the ladles, following a sugges tion by Dean Gresham.
