The 20th wedding anni versary of Rev and Mrs. Nathan Evans was celebrated at the parson age of the First Methodlct Church In this city Saturday evening. No vember IS. Mr. Evans Is one of the pioneer preachers of the North west, having been a minister of the gospel In. the "Oregon country" for a little more than SO years. Mr. and Mrs. Evans were married at Lewleton, Idaho, November 18. 11. the bridegroom then being pastor of the Methodist Church at Weeton. He has been pastor of the local church for the- past two years, having recently been sent back for a third year. He preached his first sermon In Umatilla County in the Stamper Schoolhouse, near the town of Athena, on the second Sunday In November. SO years ago.
