Both the best manufacturing modistes in this country

the assortment gathered for this exposition. The most
clever creations the season has brought forth are ex
hibited in generous array and we issue a cordial invi
tation to women of discriminating taste to call and ad
mire these triumphs of the garment maker's art. We
call attention to six garments out of several hundred:

est novelties in ribbons. Some of
these have scrim edges. Sash rib
bons will be much used this Spring
and Summer, one lovely design be
ing large polka dots of self shade.
There are also moire ribbons in rich
colorings, these have scrim edges.
New plaids are shown. An im
portant Spring fad is to have sash
and hair ribbons match.
Fashionable Spring Footwear Abundance
We illustrate two of the new Colonial styles in women's Shoes. We have just
received, in. addition to our already large showing of Spring footwear, eleven,
new shapes of tan Oxfords. These are the most beautiful and sensible footwear
styles that Spring has bronght forth. They are in dark brown suede, with cov
ered Cuban heels or tan Russia calf. The two-button Oxford, which is a great
favorite this Spring, is very prominent among them. Another well-liked style is
the "Garden Tie" a low-cut pump, finished with leather bow; this positively
does not slip at the heel.
One whi;h will appeal to conservative people is a dark brown kid blucher with a
medium heel and hand-turn sole. For those who wish more pronounced styles, we
have a tan Russia calf Oxford with a high Cuban heel. We have these in widths
as narrow as AAAA and in all sizes. Women seeking the best to be had in foot
wear styles and the most for their money will inevitably come here to shop.
New Neckwear --Gloves Laces Embroideries
The Neckwear Counter will make a special showing during Opening Days of this Spring's choic
est novelties. These include embroidered Windsor Ties, fluffy Lace Jabots, embroidered Jabots
with colored borders, Merry Widow Bows, Chemisettes in lace or embroidery.
NEW LACES We are showing a profusion of the embroidered filet net, which leads all other
patterns for trimming this year's smartest garments. These are in white or ecru, and a large
variety of designs, one decidedly new pattern being a filet mesh lace embroidered in soutache
braid, set of band and allover, in ecru, black or white.
EMBROIDERIES With white backgrounds, and the 'designs done in colors, are much in
demand. We have these in entire sets insertions, allovers and edges to match." The colors are
absolutely fast and wash perfectly. Baby Irish designs on sheer batiste are much used. Em
broideries for waist fronts, with center designs of filet lace, and colored embroidery, are very
popular. ' .
GLOVES in silk or kid, aud in every shade, to match the Spring Gowns. Long tan cape gloves are favored for ear
outdoor wear, but for later Summer, with lightweight dresses, the iight blues. Copenhagen bhs, old rose, lavenders
shades to match gowns will be much in demand. .
