Mr. Charles O. Richards and Miss Clara Eisner -were married on Saturday, June 20, at 8:30 P. M., at G71 Market street. Rev. Williim S. Gilbert officiating. Twenty five guests -were present. The home was tastefully decorated with smllax and car nations. Many elegant presents attested the high esteem of many friends. Miss Marie Smith played the wedding march as the bridal pijrty. led by Mister Harry Richards, ring bearer, and Thelma Rich ards, flower girl, entered the parlors. After the service an elaborate dinner was served in the adjoining home of the groom's brother, O. H. Richards. Mr. and Mrs. Richards left for a week in the Sound cities and Vancouver, B. C. Wilklns, of Portland, and Miss Gussle Maddock. of Oregon City, were married at the home of the bride's par ents. Mr. and Mrs. B. C. Maddock, in the Falls City, at 1 o'clock Wednesday after noon, June 24. Rev. W. B. Hollingshead, of Portland, performed the ceremony in the presence of only the relatives of the contracting parties. The groom is travel ing salesman for a large firm in Spokane, where the couple will reside. Until re cently he was a resident of Portland. The ceremony was performed before a small company of relatives and friends, and took place in the bay-windows of the parlor. Following the congratulations, a bounti ful wedding supper was served. Mr. Mar tin Is a graduate of Pacific College of the ' clas of 'SS. and his bride is a former student of tha institution. They will make their home in Newberg. Johnaon-Beauchamp. A quiet wedding took place at Baston, "Wash., June 21, at the residence of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Beau champ, when their elder daughter. Miss Bessie E, was united in marriage to Wil liam Waldorf Johnson. The brlda was formerly a student of the Pacific Univer sity, and is the daughter of a well-known Northern Pacific engineer, who formerly resided at Forest Grove. The groom Is an enterprising and prosperous young man, engaged in the mercantile business at Easton. The young couple are spending their honeymoon in Seattle and British Columbia cities and will be at home to their friends after July 15. No cards. "Wallace-LaTvrence. On Thursday evening last the marriage of Mr. John M. Wallace and Miss Tina Lawrence was solemnized at 1S7 East Thirty-seventh street, in the presence of a number of relatives and friends. The ceremonv was performed bv the Rev Edgar P. Hill. D. D.. of the First Pres byterian Church. Miss Agnes Lawrence, sister of the bride, acted as bridesmaid, and Mr. James Cormack fulfilled the du ties of groomsman. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence, of Newberg. She has been a resident in this city for a number of years, and has a large circle of friends, who made her the recipient of many handsome presents. Pattcraon-DIllard. Mr. John B. Patterson and Miss Daisy Dell Dlllard were married Monday evening at the home of the bride's parents, in Eugene. Mr. and Mrs. George Dlllard. Rev. B. F. Rowland officiating. The house was beautifully decorated for the occasion, and a large floral bell hung In the parlor un der which at the appointed hour the cou ple took their places while an orchestra played the march. Excellent muelc was rendered during the evening, "Oh. Promise Me" during the ceremony, and other ap propriate strains. An elaborate wedding feast was served after the ceremony. Bnxton-Porter. A quiet wedding occurred at the home of Mr. and Mrs. L. S. Porter, at Forest Grove, Wednesday. June 24, when their daughter. Miss Lillie M. Porter, was wedded to William H. Buxton, Rev. Dan iel Staver officiating. The bride was for merly a student of Tualatin Acadamy, of Pacific University, and a teacher in the Forest Grove public school this year. They left Wednesday evening for Pomona, Cal., their future home. Green-Colley. A pleasant home wedding took place at the residence of Thomas C. Miss Mamie Helen Flynn, whose recital on Thursday evening was clven for the benefit of the Heppner sufferers, has been a resident of The Dalles for two years past during which time her musical talents have become well known to this community.
