These discussions have led to
some anxiety and fear in our
community, and we want to pro-
vide reassurance that the spec-

facts available at this point.
While any premature death
is concerning, and we will dil-
igently investigate deaths that
happen in our jurisdiction in
collaboration with the Mult-
nomah County and Oregon
State Medical Examiner’s offic-

these 6 cases are connected.

Happy Birthday
to Evergie Lena
Pittman-Harris
Evergie Lena Pittman-Har-
ris turns another year. Born May
19th, 1921, she has been a pillar of
wealth and inspiration as à pediat-

more years to come in good health
with the blessings of the Holy Fa-

As the oldest living member of
Vancouver Avenue First Baptist
Church, many of her children re-

Mr. Harris, one of the first African
American union carpenters, built
their home.
Presently, Mrs. Harris lives in
the Sabin Community, and is the
longest living resident in her im-
mediate area.
of her death is so far undeter-

Kristin’s death to contact them.
The death investigation of

Unit Detectives are coordinat-
