Oregon Zoo will kick off summer with two festive nights for the 21+ crowd, June 9–10 ‘ZooBrew’ Tickets on sale now ZooBrew, presented by Alas- ka Airlines, is back! The Oregon Zoo’s annual beer-tasting festival returns June 9–10, with samples from more than 40 Northwest breweries plus live music, keeper chats, lawn games and more. “If you’ve ever wondered what the zoo would be like without the kids, ZooBrew is for you,” said Mickey Webb, the zoo’s director of events. Admission includes a souvenir glass and 10 tasting tickets. Food will be available for purchase from some of the area’s favorite food carts as well as zoo food outlets. Festivities begin at 6:30 p.m. (5:30 p.m. for early-entry ticket holders), and taps will be pouring until 9:30 p.m. “It’s the perfect way to kick off the summer, sample some new beers and support a great cause,” Webb said. “Proceeds benefit the zoo’s programs for species recov- ery, animal well-being and con- servation education, so people can come together for wildlife and have a fun time.” ZooBrew typically sells out quickly, according to Webb, and purchasing tickets early is recom- mended. Valid photo ID must be presented for entry. Zoo ad- mission will close to regular vis- itors at 2:30 p.m. both days in preparation for ZooBrew.
