In his new role at Cat- lin Gabel, Mr. Bruce will be the school’s chief academic leader. He will manage strategic and educational initiatives in part- nership with the senior admin- istrative team. Also Mr. Bruce will be supervising cross-di- visional programs that include athletics, outdoor and global education, and sustainabili- ty along with overseeing the school’s COVID-19 response. Mr. Bruce has committed his career in education to creating equitable learning spaces – “Where everyone feels like they can belong,” Bruce said in an interview. He came to Portland from in Austin, Tex- as, where he began his career teaching in public schools, and where he spent the past 18 years at St. Andrew’s School as a teacher and administrator. He will play an instru- mental role in fulfilling the school’s vision of becoming a more equitable, inclusive, and antiracist institution. She is currently the Dep- uty Director for PHB. Prior to working at PHB, Molly spent eight years at Home Forward, the housing authority for Mult- nomah County and has over 20 years of nonprofit and public sector management experience in housing. In the Interim Di- Molly Rogers rector role, Molly will provide continuity of service for the critical programs, investments and contracts that are provided to the community to mitigate the housing crisis. She will continue to over- see and advance the progress of the Portland Housing Bond, the Metro Housing Bond, the N/NE Neighborhood Housing Strat- egy, and homeownership goals for PHB. She is excited to wel- come over a thousand Portlanders earning 60% of area median in- come or below who will find new homes in the next several months in properties funded by the Port- land and Metro Housing bonds.
