PCC Rock Creek Evacuated
The Rock Creek campus of Port-
land Community College was
evacuated Monday due to a bomb
threat. Two dozen officers and
bomb-sniffing dogs were used in
a search, but nothing suspicious
was found. Classes were canceled
for the day and evening as a pre-
caution.

building at Northeast 27th and Killingsworth Street. A man living at the apartment is accused of

ities said he used a lighter to ig-

set a blanket on fire. The flames

said a man assaulted a student
he didn’t know Monday night at
the campus library, prompting a
search, but authorities couldn’t
find the suspect. The student
reported the man physically as-
saulting her and saying he had a
gun around 7 p.m. Students were
asked to shelter in place during the
search.
Rose Fest Parade Moves
After more than 100 years, the
Rose Festival announced Friday
that it will move the downtown
routes for the Rose Festival’s Star-
light and Grand Floral parades off
