A new online resource allows students, staff and faculty at Clackamas Community College to easily search and request library materials at 39 other academic institutions in Oregon, Washington and Idaho. College Library Services Expand Clackamas Community Col- lege will be vastly expanding its library resources by joining the Orbis Cascade Alliance. The partnership allows stu- dents, staff and faculty to easily search and request library mate- rials from 39 other academic in- stitutions in Oregon, Washington and Idaho. With enhanced access to archival and manuscript col- lections, the alliance also offers a print repository, cooperative pur- chasing of databases, e-journals and demand-driven and licensed e-book collections. “Clackamas Community Col- lege looks forward to working with public and private colleges and universities across the Northwest while strengthening library ser- vices to our students, staff and fac- ulty,” said Phillip King, CCC dean of instruction and student services. Hip Hop Inspires Portland Brews Rap music is the latest inspira- tion in Portland’s thirst for micro brews. A Hip Hop IPA Night to intro- duce five Hip-Hop themed IPAs from Portland’s Lompoc Brewing will be held at Lompoc Tavern, 1620 N.W. 23rd Ave, on Wednes- day, April 6 from 4 p.m. to 1 a.m. The Hip Hop themed IPAs are World Class Wreckin Brew, Mama Said Hop You Out, Hotel Motel Holiday Inn, MCA IPA and Hopster’s Paradise. All five beers will be available on a taster tray or sold individually by the pint. Lompoc is known for doing themed IPA series and past themes have included spies, baseball, classic rock, science fiction and more.
