Week in Review Jetliner Crashes in Alps An Airbus A320 operated by the Germanwings airline, a budget sub- sidiary of German carrier Lufthan- sa, crashed Tuesday in the French Alps, apparently killing all 150 people on board, including 16 high school students from Germany. The Portland African American Leadership Forum has a new “People’s Plan” policy agenda. The group discussed its priorities for the future at a special meeting last week. It wants more African American community members to step forward to help it ensure that the city develops with black needs to court in June. Harris was a day shy of her 29th birthday when she was killed. Marine Master Sgt. Nathaniel Cosby was convicted of the mur- der and is serving a life sentence in a military prison. Harris’ father, Marion Ivan Greer, said after the hearing that Miles did not make his daughter do anything. He said they were both “trying to taste that pot of gold.” in mind. Racist Graffiti at Grant Grant High School reported a break-in Sunday morning, along with racially charged graffiti, in- cluding a swastika, racial slurs, and other inappropriate images painted on both sides of a small shed and a nearby trailer. Jail Death in Vancouver A Vancouver man died in the Clark County Jail after an alterca- tion with police officers. Michael J. Lynch was arrested Friday for driving under the influence, reck- less driving, and hit and run.
