Performances begin Thursday, Nov. 6 and run through Nov. 23 on the Alder Stage at Artists Repertory Theatre, 1515 S.W. Morrison St. True West follows a few tumultu ous days in the lives of brothers Lee and Austin, examining their rela tionship as they manage fraternal conflicts through brutal, and some times disturbingly funny, means. Many critics see this work as one o f the award-winning playwright’s “family quintet” of plays. Profile Theater presented Shepard’s other family dramas with a film screening of “Fool for Love” in 2013, staged readings of “A Lie of the Mind” in July, and “Curse of the Starving Class” in October, and a main stage production of “Buried Child” in June.
