Halloween Fun - The Portland Children ’ s
Museum at Washington Park across from
the Oregon Zoo hosts a “Not-so-Scary
Halloween, on Friday, Oct. 31. There will be
trick-or-treating from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., a
Wizard of Oz meet-and-great with Gilda the
Good Witch and her friends from 1 pm. to
3 p.m.; D YI trick-or-treat bag craft making
and an outdoor scavenger hunt. Free with
museum admission.
Ambition, Loyalty and the Glitter of Motown - The beloved Motown-
inspired hit Dreamgirls at the Gerding Theater
at the Armory. Based loosely based on the
career of The Supremes, Dreamgirls takes you
to a revolutionary time in American music
h isto ry w here three friends form The
Dreamettes and learn hard lessons about love, trust and the changing
tastes of the American public. Shows through Sunday, Nov. 2. For tickets,

Costume Party at Reo’s Ribs — Beats4books, Pangjia and Reo’s Ribs
hosts an all-ages costume party with live rock, rap and country perfor­
mances from local youth and professional groups, on Halloween, Friday,
Oct. 31 starting at 6 p.m. Reo’s Ribs is located at 11140 S.E. Powell Blvd.
A fundraiser for youth bands that stay in school and do their work, at-the-
door tickets are $15 for youth and $20 for adults.
Family Halloween Fest - Warner Pacific College hosts its annual free Fall
Family Festival on Thursday, Oct. 30. Events begin at 6 p.m. Families are
encouraged to come with their kids in costume so that they can trick-or-
treat in a safe environment. Festivities will include games, face painting,
a picture booth, costume contest, live music, a haunted house, refresh­
ments, and plenty of Halloween candy. For more information, visit
