Steven Larkin, a seasoned adver­
tising sales leader, is the new na­
tional sales representative with the
N ational New spaper Publishers
Association (NNPA), a group rep­
resenting over 200 African-Ameri­
can newspapers across the coun­
try, including the Portland Observer.
Larkin reports directly to Dr. Ben­
jam in F. Chavis Jr., the president
and chief executive officer of the
media group which reaches over
20.1 million readers per week.
Larken is an innovator who has
positioned and sold print and digi­
tal ad space to national advertisers
for more than two decades. He is
from Los Angeles.
“His hands-on experience devel­
oping breakthrough advertising
solutions for Merck Pharmaceuti­
cals, The National American Red
Cross, NAACP and Con Edison will
make him an instant asset to our
members,” said Chavis.
