The planting will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 16, beginning at 8:30 a.m. The bulbs are wanted to further beautify the two downtown parks, especially during the rainy early spring when crocus flowers offer a bright, colorful bloom. Alberta St., is celebrating 11 years on Alberta this month by hosting a student art show, and holding a fundraiser for the De Paul Youth & Family Center. “Our eleven years in business on Alberta corresponds with my own sobriety date,” says artist and owner Austin Raglione. “It is important to me as a business owner and community partner to help support families in need.’’ Raglione serves on the board of directors for De Paul Treatment Centers and is a program manager for the Port land Police Bureau’s Service Coordination Team which provides drug treatment for chronic offenders. M imosa Studios will be donating 10 percent o f its gross receipts for the month of October directly to the De Paul Youth & Family Center. Additionally, a show of student art will kick off with a student reception on Friday, Oct. 12 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The works will be displayed through Nov. 2.
