Food Bank Drive Brings Amazing Results
Letter carriers
collect 1.3
million pounds
in just one day

pounds o f nonperishable food in
O regon and C lark C ounty, the O r
egon F ood B ank announced last
w eek. In addition, the drive raised
$74,459.
"W hat our letter carriers do on
this one day is am azing," said R achel
B ristol, O regon Food B ank ex ecu
tive. "This is truly a com m unity e f
fort involving thousands o f v o lu n
teers w ho unload trucks at every
post office, box the food and load it
onto donated sem is for delivery to
the R egional Food B anks and food
pantries.

place W ednesday, June 6, from 4:30
to 6:30 pm. T he cen ter is located in
M edical O ffice B uilding 3, Suite 100
on the M ount H ood M edical C enter
C am pus at 24988 S.E. Stark Street.
