This is a great low-fat pasta dish. Serve with a fruit salad
and French bread.
Ingredients
• 1 1 /2 pounds fresh as­
paragus, trimmed and cut
into 1 inch pieces
• 1/4 cup chicken broth
• 1/2 pound fresh mush­
rooms, sliced
• 8 ounces angel hair
pasta
• 1 tablespoon olive oil
• 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper
• 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Directions
1. Cook pasta according to package instructions.
2. Heat the olive oil in a nonstick skillet. 3. Saute asparagus in
the pan over medium heat for about 3 minutes. Add chicken broth
and mushroom slices; cook 3 minutes more.
3. Drain pasta, and transfer to a serving dish. Gently toss pasta
with asparagus mixture; sprinkle with Parmesan and crushed red
pepper.

Directions
1. Combine brown sugar, lemon juice, molasses, basil, vegetable
oil, mustard, honey, clove, ranch dressing, chili powder, and
garlic in a large bowl. Toss in shrimp to coat, cover, and
refrigerate for 2 hours. Meanwhile, soak wooden skewers in hot
water to prevent burning on the grill.
2. Preheat an outdoor grill for high heat and lightly oil grate.
3. Thread shrimp tightly on to skewers. Cook on the top rack of
the grill for approximately 4 minutes, or until the shrimp turns pink
on one side. Flip shrimp and cook for an additional 2 to 4 minutes,
or until there are no signs of grey. Use a fork to remove shrimp
from the skewers.
