JJortlanb (Obstruer Page 10 Caseworker Killed During Visit (AP) — A St. Helens man who pleaded guilty to attempted m urder five years ago is sus pected o f stabbing his mental health casew orker to death during a home visit. Brent Redd, 30, was under supervision by the nonprofit Colum bia Com m unity Mental Health. St. Helens Police C hief Steve Salle said M onday that dis patchers received a call at about 8 a.m. Sunday, directing them to Redd's hom e on a report of a disturbance. Salle said Redd answered the door and ran. He was detained after a short chase. Inside his house, Salle said police and med ics found the body of the case worker, Jennifer Warren. "Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends after this terrible incident," C o lumbia County M ental Health said in a statem ent M onday. "We are working closely with the proper authorities and have initiated an independent review to ensure the safety o f our m ental health workers."
