A successful candidate must be member of the Oregon State Bar, should have substantial experience in complex litigation, from discovery through trial, as well as demonstrated expertise in the proper interpretation and application of statutes. Expertise in tax law may be helpful, but is not required. Those with judicial or quasi-judicial experience are especially encouraged to apply. The City will issue a professional services contract for the work, with compensation commensurate with the contractor’s experience. Deadline to apply Februrary 20, 2012. Police say some dem onstra tors broke a glass door at a restaurant, threw garbage and vandalized several cars. Lt. Robert King said those arrested are accused of disor derly conduct and interfering with officers. They included a 15- year-old boy. Dozens of officers responded at the peak of the demonstra tion. Several protesters said they were upset about the damage caused by a small faction in the crowd. More than 400 people were arrested on Jan. 28 in Oakland, Calif., when a midday march escalated into a clash between some rock-throwing protesters and police who responded with tear gas. 2337 N.
