She w as bo m April 14,1919 in M ount Calm , Texas to L onnie and V elvet Searcy. She w as the oldest o f three girls. She g ra d u a te d fro m hig h sch o o l in T exas. She m arried B ow ie B utler and they had tw o children: Peggy B utler w as bom in T exas and T. Y vonne B utler w as bom in P ort land. H er first husband passed aw ay in 1952, and she later m arried C harley H all, and he passed aw ay in 1982. E dna w as a devoted w ife, m other, sister, gran d m o th er and aunt. She w as one o f a kind, alw ays had a special sm ile and n ev er a harsh w ord. E veryone alw ays asked h er for advice because she could tell you how to do it and do it right. She w as a strong but m ild m annered w om an. She leaves behind h er d au g h ters and th eir husbands; g ran d children T erry W hite, W endy (W hite) H urlie, C lifford W hite and Jo h n O tis W hite Jr.; eight great g ra n d c h ild re n ; fiv e g re a t-g re a t g r a n d c h ild r e n , m a n y c o u s in s , nieces, nephew s and friends, as well as h er church fam ily.
