Musician’s Stolen Trumpet Found
When a thief ran away with the
custom-made trumpet of Portland’s
most legendary musician, Thara
Memory, it was a major concern
because it was the only trumpet he
could playing following a series of
finger amputations. It was his prized
horn.
Luckily, Memory later got a call
from a man who said he found the
trumpet along Highway 30 in North
west Portland.
Memory had been moving into a
new condo in the Pear District when
a thief smashed in his car window
and stole the custom-made trumpet.
“There is only one of these horns
and it’s made only for me,” he said.
