Graffiti Art
Show at
Mt. Hood
A collection o f graffiti art will be
exhibited through Oct. 29 at the Vi­
sual Arts Gallery located on the
main campus o f Mt. Hood Commu­
nity College.
Doug Forrest, who is also known
as Kar, is celebrating his 25th year
as a Baltimore, Md., graffiti artist.
His interest in graffiti began at an
early age with his discovery o f skate­
boarding, hip-hop music and mov­
ies such as "Beat Street" and "Wild
Style."
He creates graffiti art on can­
vases, cars, motorcycles, shoes and
other objects. Like many graffiti art­
ists, Forrest was inspired and influ­
enced by the artwork o f comic book
artists.
Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.,
weekdays. Admission is free.
