Northwest artists
Portland hip-hop mainstay Cool N u t/ is
teaming up w ithCBS Radio’ s K X JM (Jammin
107.5 PM ) to bring Northwest Breakout
Radio to Portland's airwaves.
The broadcast w ill feature the hottest in
Northwest hip-hop and urban radio ready
music, and w ill give artists from the region
the opportunity to gain further exposure fo r
their music on one o f the regions hottest
urban radio stations.
The show w ill feature artist interviews,
classic, new and exclusive music from lop
Hight artists from Oregon, Idaho. Montana
and Northern C alifornia. The broadcast w ill
also feature a Bar 4 Bar segment to give
Northwest artists the opportunity to enter
into lyrical combat in head to head com peti­
tion over today's hottest instrumentals, and
winners w ill be given the chance to defend
their wins in a week to week competition.
Northwest Breakout Radio w ill also fea­
ture celebrity music reviews o f submitted
music that w ill not serve as a voice o f hate,
but a tool fo r constructive criticism to help
bring regional artists closer to receiving
regular airplay w ith feedback from some o f
today's hottest urban artists.
Lo o k fo r special guest D J's to feature
exclusive mixes from Northwest artists on
the show, as w ell as up to date inform ation
on upcoming live performances from N orth­
west artists, club nights, album release dates,
and com m unity affairs and events.

The promoters said they are looking fo r­
ward to receiving music from all Northwest
artists w ith the proper material that fits the
form at o f the show.

A ll music must be radio edited (clean),
mastered and from a currently released or
upcoming album. Full albums are welcome as
