Neighborhood How do you feel about the U.S. Supreme Court decision to ban medical marijuana? Well, / think it’s short sighted. They shouldn 't just look at the law but the benefits it gives the people. That ’s how medicine started was with plants and they are overlooking exploring other methods. —Herb Jenkins That’s not cool fo r people that seriously need it. If you are just using it fo r your own leisure than it’s not okay. But some people need it because they may die or become blind with out it. Buffalo Soldiers Honor Flag Day —lyona Woods I think that certain people need it for a reason. I don’t agree with the government taking away the use o f medical marijuana. It helps when other painkillers don't work. / think marijuana is a benign drug. -D o n Sinclair I hope they reverse the law fo r cancer patients so they can use marijuana as a way to relieve their pain. I think it’s bogus and / think it should be allowed fo r those in pain. / think they should respect states that legalize it fo r medicine. —Sara Mahan That’s terrible because people are hurting with ailments and they need it. It won't stop people from smoking marijuana. It will be sad fo r those who have to find it in non-legal ways. -E cho Hall Portland Celebrate Juneteenth continued from Front at 11 a.m. A variety of vendors will be on hand throughout the weekend, sell ing pastries and drinks.
