The purpose of the children’s book series is to instill financial literacy in children, to illustrate key concepts and principles re lating to finances that a child can understand, to enrich the finan Local Talent Shows Coming The Interstate Firehouse Cul tural Center is rededicating itself as the artistic haven to the north and northeast Portland commu nity with the first of several open talent shows. The entertainment will be open to any individual from the commu nity wishing to perform for a live audience. From storytelling, po etry slamming, beat boxing, rap ping, singing, and dancing to jug gling, acting, improvising, instru ment playing, magic performing, and joke telling; all talent is wel come and encouraged.
