Energy Poured into Youth Art Students at Ockley Green and Beech Middle Schools in north Portland have poured their bound less and youthful energy into grace ful art and dance at the Interstate Firehouse Cultural Center, 5340 N. Thursday, November i8, 2004 7:00pm scenes since 1998, becoming a staple in both communities. S iren’s E cho’s debut album "Psalms O f The Siren’s,” is being released this month on their inde pendent label. Step Child Music. The lovely ladies will embark on a tour of the entire Northwest to sup port the release, with the final date ending in Portland on Saturday, Dec. 18 for the official album release party at the Ash Street Saloon. Interstate. The students end a nine-week after-school theater program this week with a Student Artist Show case, featuring song, dance and theater performances. They will perform tribal dance, improvisa tional theater games, voice and body works under the direction of local performing artists LaVeme Springer-Green and Habiba Addo.
