St. Johns community are invited
to celebrate the grand opening
o f a new Safeway at 8330 N.
Ivanhoe St. on Wednesday, June
23. Several special guests will
cut the ribbon and officially open
the new store beginning at 8
a.m.
The St. Johns Safeway is look­
ing to benefit the community
and ex p an d on a d iv e rse
workforce by creating 100 new
jobs and employing more than
160 people.
Duane Tanner, the store’s
assistant store manager, said
the new Safeway features more
space for both products and
services.
For the opening
celebration, free Oregon
scratch-it lottery tickets
will be given to the first
600 shoppers (over the
age o f 18).

of free groceries for a year, a
$5,200 value, will also be given.
