Jefferson High School girls’ basketball star
Brittney Davis has selected the University of
M innesota to continue her academic and athletic
career.
Although Davis was recruited by major univer
sities across the nation and considered the Uni
versity o f Southern California, the University of
California at Berkeley and the University o f Las
Vegas, her decision came down to support from
other athletes.
Davis said, "1 chose to attend the University of
Minnesota because of the support of the coaching
staff and the players on the team. I really got along
with them all.”
A ccording to Jefferson A thletic D irector
Marshall Haskins, Davis has achieved both aca
demic and athletic honors qualifying her for the
NCAA scholarship.
Davis has a 3.7 grade point average in her
college level classes, is a two-time P1L Player of the
Year, a three time All League player, averages 20
