T he event w ill be held at the C olum bia R iver D ouble Tree Hotel, 1401N. H ayden Island Dr. on Saturday, April 2 0 at 5:30p.m . She w as appointed the p o si tion by the honorable Bishop A.R. H opkins, Prelate o f O regon First Jurisdiction. A n official installa tion service w as held last N ovem ber, w ith m ore than 75,000 m em bers in attendance during the an nual International H oly C onvoca tion in M em phis. A p a s t o r ’s w if e , M o th e r Johnson is fondly called “First L ady” o f C ornerstone C O G IC in northeast Portland, w here she has w orked faithfully w ith her h u s b a n d , S u p e r in te n d e n t B .E . Johnson, in various feeding and clothing m inistries o f the church and assists in the overall opera tions o f the church. She also served as assistant supervisor for 12 years under the tutelage o f M other Lula Mae Cook, who died in April 2000. Mitchell Funeral services were held Monday, March 18, 2002, in New Hope Baptist Church in Portland for Kathy R. Mitchell, who died March 7 at age 46. Kathy R. Martin was bom Aug. 10,1955, in Sylacauga, Ala., and moved to Portland in 1965. She graduated from Grant High School and Port land State University. She was a clerk for the Internal Revenue Service. Survivors include her sons, Jerry L. Jackson II, Aaron B. Gaither and Keenan J. Gaither; father, Andrew L. Martin Sr.; sister, Cora A. Martin-Shorte; brother, An drew L.
