The Kings ’ only previous home loss was on Dec. 2 against Dallas. PHOENIX - Scott Skiles was forced out Sunday as coach of the Phoenix Suns and replaced by assistant Frank Johnson as the team tried to salvage a dis appointing season. The Suns currently are out of postseason contention with a 25-27 record. z DAD’S OIL SERVICE •C" HEATING OILS Fire to Kick Off 2002 Season in May Fire basketball will be back in action at the Rose Garden when the team opens up the 2002 sea son on W ednesday, May 29 at 7 p.m., versus the Eastern Confer ence powerhouse New York Lib erty. Now in their third season, the Fire will once again play a 32-game schedule (16 home, 16 road), in cluding 21 against W estern Con ference opponents and 11 versus the Eastern Conference. O f the 16 regular season games at the Rose Garden, nine will be played on fan-friendly days, be tween Friday night and Sunday. The Fire will enjoy the home atmo sphere in the Rose Garden for 7 of their first 11 games, but by the end of June will embark on a tough road schedule, playing 10 o f 15 games away from Portland.
