Early Childhood Mental Health
Consultant's provide a range of
direct mental health services, con­
su lta tio n , and training to con­
tracted public agencies serving
young children, to achieve improve­
ments in social, emotional, and fa­
milial functioning for children and
families. Specific duties include
providing services such as triage,
a sse ssm e n t, tre a tm e n t, case
management, and crisis interven­
tio n s e rv ic e s fo r in d iv id u a ls ,
groups and families for prevention,
early intervention, and treatm ent
of mental, emotional, social, and
familial problems; providing men­
tal health consultation and train­
ing for the community; assisting
with the development and assess­
ment of agency programs and cur­
riculum; initiating and maintaining
clinical record-keeping to comply
with legal, medical health, and pro­
gram standards; and completing
administrative data collection to
record quantitative inform ation
about services delivery. Two years
professional experience in the pro­
vision of mental health service to
children and fam ilies required.
The position also requires the per­
son be fluent in Spanish and En­
glish. Two years post-Master’s
experience, and recent experience
providing mental health services
to young children (ages 0-5), de­
sirable. AND equivalent to a
M aster's degree in the mental
health field is required. Must be
Qualified Mental Health Profes­
sional (QMHP) as defined in Oregon
Adm inistrative Rules 309-032-
0535. Licensed Clinical Social
Worker or Licensed Professional
Counselor desirable. Starting sal­
ary $ 2 0 .2 4 per hour ($20.24 -
