Founded by dancer and cho­
reographer Melissa St. Clair, the
Modem Dance Lab is now in its
fifth year ofexploring the under­
lying relationships o f movement.
Voir in its fifth year, the Modern Dance Lab at Jefferson will be giving an
upcoming perform ance at the school.

p act te e n s can h a v e in o u r
com m unity, and to honor and
rem e m b e r th o se w h o have
faced the d iffic u ltie s o f c a n ­
cer.

two fabulous retro bands: San
F ra n c isc o ’s 8 0 ’s trib u te se n ­
sa tio n T a in te d L o v e, and
P o r tla n d ’s o w n o ld -tim e
ro ck e rs J o h n n y L im b o and
the L u g n u ts. T h e stu d e n ts ,
ballroom and organizers have
all donated their tim e and ser­
v ic e s fo r the e v e n in g . W ith
the h elp o f sponsors, the s tu ­
dents are flying T ainted Love
up from C alifornia for the gig.

B all raise d o v e r $ 15,000 for
th e c h ild r e n ’s C a n c e r A sso ­
ciation in support o f its unique
program s.
For th is y e a r's e v e n t, the
s tu d e n ts have a lre ad y m et
th e ir goal o f raisin g $25,000
in sp o n so rsh ip . “ N o w ,” says
student c o -c h a ir K risti B ray,
“ all w e h av e to do is fill the
b a llro o m w ith d a n c in g b o d ­
ies!” Jesuit H igh School vice
