The M od­ ern Dance Lab will perform ing a new work set by Demetrius Keller, well known tapper and choreog­ rapher to the B lazer Danc­ ers. Other cho­ reographers include young V ietn am ese brothers Phu Dao and C ang D ao; cu rren t Jefferson D ancer John Sorensen Jolink; African art­ ist M ichel le Burch Christian, As­ sistant Director o f the North­ west Afrikan American Ballet; and Artistic Director Melissa St. Claire. Founded by dancer and cho­ reographer Melissa St. Clair, the Modem Dance Lab is now in its fifth year ofexploring the under­ lying relationships o f movement. Voir in its fifth year, the Modern Dance Lab at Jefferson will be giving an upcoming perform ance at the school. T h e stu d e n ts , ballroom and organizers have all donated their tim e and ser­ v ic e s fo r the e v e n in g . W ith the h elp o f sponsors, the s tu ­ dents are flying T ainted Love up from C alifornia for the gig. L ast y e a r th e Fat D addy B all raise d o v e r $ 15,000 for th e c h ild r e n ’s C a n c e r A sso ­ ciation in support o f its unique program s.
