of: The supply and installation of a diesel powered generator and

clude Abrams Park well site, Cemetery Reservoir and pump station,
and High school Reservoir,

City Ridgefield, City Hall until A.M. on Friday, December 1, 2000,
and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud.
A mandatory prebid conference will be held on Monday, November
20th at 1 0 :00 a.m. at Ridgefield City Hall, 230 Pioneer Street,
Ridgefield, Washington. Copies of the Contract Documents may be
obtained at the office of the Engineer, R&W Engineering, Inc, at 9400
SW Beaverton Hillsdale Hwy, #250, Beaverton, OR 97005, upon
payment of a fee of $30.00 per set if picked up in person, or $40.00
per set if mailing or delivery is required. Informational copies of
maps, plans and specifications are on file for inspection in the Office
of the Engineer, Beaverton, Oregon.
All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in
cash, certified check, cashier’s check, or surety bond in an amount
equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid proposal. Should
the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish
satisfactory performance bond within the time stated in the specifi
cations, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the City of
Ridgefield. No bid will be considered unless fully completed in the
manner provided in the “ Instruction to Bidders” upon the bid form
provided by the Engineer.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids to waive all
informalities. No bidder may withdraw or modify his bid after the
hour set for the opening and thereafter until the lapse of thirty (30)
days from the bid opening.
This project is financed through the Community Development Block
Grant Program with funds obtained form the U.S. Department of Hous
ing and Urban Development. The contract will be subject to regula
tions of the Department of Labors and Housing and Urban Develop
ment.
Attention is called to Federal provisions for Equal Employment Oppor
tunity HUD Section 3 requirements and minimum wages as set forth
in the contract documents. Minimum wages shall be as required by
either the state or federal wage rates, whichever is greater for any
given trade.

Request for Proposals
Oregon State University is seeking proposals from consulting firms
interested in providing design services for parking lots to be constructed
at nine locations on the OSU Corvallis Campus. Prioritization of park
ing lot design and required time of construction has not been estab
lished at this time. The Owner may choose to spread construction of
the parking lots over a 2-3 year period. This Request for Proposal is
the first step in a two-step process to obtain a design consultant to
accomplish the design of these projects. The first step will result in
the development of a short-list of consultants, who will be invited to
interview as the second step. The result of the interviews will be the
selection of one or more firms to accomplish the design. OSU may
select a single consultant to design all parking lots, or may choose to
select multiple designers.

Notice is hereby given that a public hearing, if so requested by any

Sealed bids will be received at the housing Authority of Portland (HAP),
