Civil/Structural/M echanical/Electrical.
Design and construction supervision o f new and rehabilitated build­
ings for industrial a n d /o r com m ercial uses including excavation and
site preparation: sewage trea tm en t fa cilities: transportation fa cilitie s
for ship, road, and railroad including interm odal connections: bridges
and warehouses.
2.
Planning.
Preparation o f plans a n d /o r studies concerning the developm ent o f
marine e x p o rt/im p o rt term inals, industrial parks, bulk material and roro
e xpo rt/im p o rtfa cilitie s. This includes consideration o f various transpor­
tation m odes including deep w ater shipping.
3.
G eotechnical.
Study and investigation o f ground conditions a t various industrial sites
to determ ine The desirability and acceptability fo r facility construction
including ground w ater and soil contam ination issues.
4.
SE PA /Perm itting/R egulatoryC om pIiance.
Compliance with SEPA, acquisition o f permits in relation to Port develop­
m ents, and com pliance with hazardous m a te ria ls /w a s te and under­
ground storage ta nk laws and regulations.
5.
R ecreation.
Investigation, design, and supervision of: expansion o f recreational
vehicle park including aesthetics consideration and RV u tilitie s; pedes-
tria n /b icycle pathways, interpretive centers, and boardwalks; restau­
rants, and, construction o f additional facilities associated w ith a small
boat marina, including additional docking.
6.
Hydraulic/M arine.
Hydraulic investigations of the Columbia River; study, investigation, and
design o f fa c ilitie s related to river projects including but not lim ited to
riprap, construction o f docks and w harfs, pilings, ramps, and tie-up and
anchorage fa cilitie s; evaluation and
developm ent o f long-term plans for dredge disposal.
7.
Environm ental.
Evaluation, design, preparation, and execution o f studies and construc­
tion o f projects relating to environmental issues including sedim ent
quality, w ater quality, w etlands, w ildlife habitat and other issues port
developm ent.
8.
Surveying/C ivil.
Investigation and preparation o f m aps, aerial photographs, plat plans,
and other work to fa cilita te the orderly developm ent of the Port.
9.
E conom ic and M arketingC on su ltant.
Perform m arket research as p a rt of a p ort m arketing plan. Such re­
search shall include econom ic analysis (bu sin e ss/in d u stry cycles and
trends) and m arket analysis.
10.
