Linda White, D irector o f the Blaz­
ers Boys & Girls Club, has been pro­
moted to the position o f Cultural Di­
versity M anager for the organization.
White, a former professional bas­
ketball player, coach and 14-year vet­
eran o f the Boys & Girls Clubs, will
assume her new responsibilities in
September. Her new duties will in­
clude overseeing the organization’s
diversity programs, staff and Board
recruitment and training, and com mu­
nity outreach efforts.

newly-built Blazers Boys & Girls Club
in 1996,afterservingasD irectorofthe
Columbia Boys & Girls Club in North
Portland and Program Director at the
Phoenix, AZ Boys & Girls Clubs. The
NBA Portland TrailBlazers provided
the initial funding for construction o f
the Blazers Boys & Girls Club, which
has the distinction o f being the first
