V iew ers first m eet each contestant in a video presentation w hich reflects their everyday life, and then see them again, onstage, after the con testant has been transform ed into the superstar o f their dream s by the show ’s team o f professional m ake up artists and costum ers. A fter w atching theperfom ances, a live studio audience votes for their favorite contestant, using a special electronic keypad system that pro vides instantaneous tabulation o f the results, w hich are then an nounced by Ribeiro.
