On the West Coast, Evie Relive the ‘90s marital crises o f middle-aged baby boomers in Richard Dresser's Gun-Shy. (Babs George), Duncan’s manic, self-actualizing ex-wife, is forcing Carter (Peter Lohnes), a cuckolded Portland-based coffee magnate, into the responsibilities of fatherhood by in-vitro fertilization; while on the East Coast, Duncan (Don Alder) struggles to stick with his 12-step program and get Caitlin (Sarah G unnnell), his anorexic, 20- something girlfriend, to commit. When Evie and Duncan hatch a plan to save their only son from becoming a prep school j.d., all h ilarity breaks loose. Steve Wilkerson plays the hapless people who collide with the actions and values of these cock-eyed couples. For almost six decades, Charles has entertained the world with his musical talents. He’s reached audiences of many genres, including, but not limited to Country, Rock, Jazz and R&B. With over 50 years of experience in show business, Charles had accumulated numerous awards. His accomplishments include 15 Grammy Awards, the “Helen Keller Personal Achievement Award” in 1994, a “Life Time Achievement Award,” and three honorary doctoral degrees. Charles has also been inducted into various halls of fame. He was one of the original inductees into “The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame” in 1986. His most recent induction in 1997 was to the “International Jazz Hall of Fame.” Charles has made television appearances on “St. Elsewhere” and “Who’s the Boss?” Several profile specials on Charles have been made, including ABC-TV’s “20-20,” which was awarded two Emmys for the special that aired in 1981. But, his most noted television appearances come from Pepsi Co.’s 1991 campaign for Diet Pepsi, “You Got The Right One Baby, Uh- Huh!” starring Charles.
