starters. But once again, depth w as the difference.
Reserve Greg A nthony scored 24 points, including six
free throws in the final 25 seconds ofovertim e, as Portland
w on its sixth straight, 100-96 over the C harlotte Hornets
on Saturday night.
“C om ing into the season, I thought the H ornets were the
best team in the East, and they show ed it tonight,”
Anthony said. “They gave us all w e wanted, but I think
our team is starting to jell and com e together
