Sharon Pratt Kelly is a most
appropriate keynote speaker for
POIC’s Appreciation Dinner.
During her tenure as Mayor, and
believing that the only way to
lead is by example, Mrs. Kelly
called for every business and
individual in Washington, D.C.,
to return to the ethic of caring
and providing for the c ity ’s
youth - to become an extended
family that assumes full and ac
tive responsibility for educat
ing, training, m entoring and
employing our Young people.
Her Youth Initiative Program,
for which she remains and ac
tive mentor, became a model for
the country.
