Nokes has been promoted to Senior Public Relations PNokes, 38, has worked at NW Natural for 16 years, he has been Director o f Consum er Information since 1993. Previously he was the com pany’s Com m unications Adm inistrator and a Writer/Editor. As Senior Public Relations Specialist, Nokes will be the prim ary liaison between NW Natural and the media. He will also m anage public relations activities throughout NW N atural’s service territory. Nokes is a graduate o f W illamette University. He has served on W illam ette’s Alumni Board, the Oregon Business Council’s Education Reform task force, and ASAP Treatment Services board o f directors. Nokes has worked as a freelance writer and public relations consultant for a variety o f organizations and publications. A stage features short presentation by “People Who Read.” The event is part of “Do The Right Thing Day,” a celebration for inner city youth that takes place next door at Jefferson High School’s football field at the same time.
