Upon a rriv a l, o ffic e rs found a
large num ber o f people both in ­
side and o u tsid e the house.
Inside, oi l leers found a 28-
year-o ld black m ale, later identi-
t led as Stacy Sabb. ol no rth east
P ortland, su ffering from appar
enl gunshot w ounds Sabb was
tran sp o rted by am b u lan ce lo a
local hospital w here he later died
A lso, inside the house, o flic -
ers found a group o f people hold
mg a young black m ale believed
to be in his early 2 0 's. w ho. a c ­
c o rd in g to the group, was the
shooter.
U pon taking the subject from
the group, o fficers discovered the
su b ject was also su fferin g from
an apparent gunshot w ound.

Crime Stoppers: Rape
Portland Police Bureau investiga­
tors, in cooperation with Crime Stop
pels, are asking for your help identi­
fying and apprehending the suspect
in a rape
On Sunday. Decem ber 7. 1997,
at approxim ately 3 o ’clock in the
afternoon, the victim heard a knock
at the door of her apartm ent, lo­
cated near the MAX light rail line
at SE 162nd A v e n u e an d E
Burnside Street. When she did not
see anyone through the peephole,
she opened the door to look. Once
the door was open, the suspect
forced his way in and sexually a s­
saulted the victim.
I lie suspect is described as a white
male, in Ins late 2 0 's to early 3()’s,
6 0 " tall, with a slender build, dark
complexion, and scraggly-looking
straight dark brow nor black hair past
Ins shoulders. The suspect appeared
unshaven, and was wearing a black
long-sleeve T-shirt, blue jeans, a
brown leather bell with a square brass
buckle, and dark-colored gloves.
