H opefully your goals are your own and w hat you define them to be To be truly happy you m ust live your own life and be who you w ere created to be! G oals can be as varied as the num ber o f people on this planet. For a to d d le r, success may be tying his or her shoes. For a six -y e a r-o ld it may be w alking to school all by him or herself. For unable you to it may mean opening your own b u siness or w eathering the storm , w o rk ing th in g s o u ra n d rem ain in g in a f u lfill ing re la tio n sh ip . To be su ccessfu l you first need a goal or an o b je c tiv e , so m ething you w ant to acco m p lish You have to e n v isio n it (see it clearly in your m in d 's e y e ) and charge this vision w ith enth u siasm , optim ism and co m m itm ent It must be m ore than an idle w ish or a d aydream . You m ust invest y o u rse lf into it! N ext you m ust fo rm u late a w orking plan How are you going to accom plish w hat you d esire to do? W ho w ill you need to assist you? W hat sk ills, train in g or reso u rces will you need? No one m akes it alone. No one does anything e n tire ly for him or h erself. We all ben efil from the atta in m e n t o f w orthw hile goals. T hat being the case, we must w ork w ith o th e rs to a c c o m p lish our goals. W e need support as well as re s is tance to attain our o b je c tiv e s. Both su p port and re sista n c e are cru cial Io every en d eav o r. S upport gives us the added push and en co u rag em en t we need. R e sista n c e and o b sta c le s test our m ettle, they force us to dig deep w ithin o u r selves and tap into our in n er core of talen t, stre n g th and d iv in ity . T he life/ success p ro cess dem an d s we interact w ith oth ers and p ersev ere to overcom e ad v ersity . Visions, dreams, enthusiasm, support and resistance mean nothing unless we are will ing to commit to action. Our rewards (out come) are always directly proportionate to our output (the energy, tune and commitment we invest in ourselves and our goals). Bring a little New Orleans flavor to your holiday spread with tasty tips using Lawry's Seasoned Salt: Stewed Chicken with Brown Gravy 1 ,5-pound slewing hen. cut up Lawry’s Seasoned Salt Lawry’s Seasoned Pepper 4 cups of water 1/2 teaspoon of fresh red pepper crushed 1/4 cup of vegetable oil 1/2 cup of Hour 2 cups of onions, finely chopped 1 teaspoon of chopped parsley 1/2 teaspoon of dried thyme 2 cloves of garlic, finely minced Seasoned chicken pieces with Lawry's Seasoned Salt and Seasoned Pepper Heat oil in large skillet or deep pot and add chicken pieces. Cover tightly and cook lor .10 min utes. Remove chicken and set aside. Add Hour to drippings in pan and stir over low heat until Hour is golden Add onions and cook until they are translucent. Add water and gradually bring to a boil. Return chicken to pot and add red pepper, parsley, garlic and thyme. Cook slowly until chicken is tender — about 45 minutes. Serves 4.
