The league announced its All- D e fe n siv e F irst and S eco n d Team s Tuesday as Jordan tied Bobby Jones o f Denver and Phila delphia for the all-tim e record for most selections. Providence G Shammgod enters NBA Draft Providence point guard God Sham m god, one o f the keys to the F riars’ run to the Southeast Region finals in the N C A A T our nam ent, has m ade him self eli gible for the NBA Draft. A Provi dence official said that the school has received notification from the N BA that S ham m god has applied for the draft and that S ham m god w ould inform the coaches o f his decision Tuesday. It is believed that Sham m god lias not signed with an agent, w hich leaves open the possibility o f him returning to college. He can still w ithdraw from the draft up to one w eek before the event. Blazers Home Looking For Win Shaquille O ’Neal scored 30 points Sunday as the hot-shooting Los Ange les Lakers raced to a 107-93 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers and a 2-0 lead in their Western Conference fust-round se ries. O ’Neal, who scored 46 points in Game 1, was slowed down a bit, but not much. Heshot 11 for21 from the field and got some help from his teammates this time. The Lakers shot a stellar 58 percent from the field, led by a 61 -percent show ing from the starters.
