will have strong Oracle soft­
ware installation and support
experience, and will be work­
ing in a leading edge corpo­
rate computing environment,
with a DBA team supporting
several large Oracle 7.2 sys­
tems running on a pair of B
CPU Sun SC2000E servers
in Portland. Strong experience
in Oracle performance moni­
toring, tuning, database back­
up and recovery procedures,
SQL-Net, TCP/IP, disk m an­
agement, Developer Support
is a must. Solaris or other
System V Unix experience is
a strong plus. Experience us­
ing Novell, MS-Windows, or
Windows/NT is also desirable.
Responsibilities require on-
call su pp o rt and p e rio d ic
weekend work for upgrades
and maintenance.

We are looking for an individual
with strong technical service
and installation experience to
p e rfo rm s e rv ic e c a lls at
s u b s c rib e r’s hom es. Must
identify cable service prob­
lems and complete necessary
repair work to restore recep­
tion. One year previous expe­
rience as a cable installer,
ability to use test equipment
(i.e. signal level meter, volt
ohm meter, signal leakage
meter) required. Must have
high school diploma or equiva­
lent.
Must be able to lift 90 lbs fre­
quently and work from heights
up to 40ft. Must have valid
driver’s license with good driv­
ing record. Pre-employment
p hysical e xam ination and
drug screen required.
Shift runs Mon-Tues 9:30am-
6:30 pm and Fri-Sun 7:30am-
4:30pm. Must be able to work
overtime with short notice. We
offer a competitive salary and
