PO R TLAN D ! is a $ I 8-m illion
permanent exhibit that explores the
history and development ofO regon’s
largest city. PO RTLAN D ! features
three-dimensional maps, interactive
computer programs, v ideos produced
from OHS photo archives and other
multimedia displays and visuals.
The exhibit also highlights sev­
eral o f Portland’ s favorite landmarks,
including a reproduction o f Pioneer
Bootsy... Alive
& Kicking!

The Grand Opening Week Cel­
ebration for PO RTLAN D ! is spon­

Oregon Historical Society. A ll fes­

The success o f the film and
soundtrack have been phenomenal.
After three weeks o f the release o f
the Dead Presidents soundtrack, the
album is number 5 on B illborad’s
“ Top R &B Album ” and number 26
on the “ Billboard 200” charts. The
movie remained in the number 3
position at the box office for two
consecutive weeks.

here by longtime rubber Band main­
stays Joel “ Raxor Sharp” Johnson
(keyboards), Frankie “ Kash” Waddy
(drums and assorted thumps) and the
Horny Horns' Rick Gardner (Trum ­
pet).
Bootsy and friends infuse the
music with a new sense o f urgency,
giving us 90 minutes o f funk that is
most definitely alive...and kicking.
